DAVID OTUNGA ON ACCESS HOLLYWOOD.

David Otunga was featured on last night's Access Hollywood. It was a two minute feature called J-hud's Stud with Maria Menounos interviewing Otunga as they began showing some pictures and joking about everyone seeing him in his underwear and what does Jennifer think about that. He said she doesn't know quite what to think about it.

They talked about NXT calling it a wrestling reality show and how Otunga says he will win it. They also talked about their family as he and Hudson have a seven month old boy and Otunga says he is a professional diaper changer…he can do it anywhere, planes, cars, it doesn't matter.

They finished with Maria showing a brief clip from her wrestling last year when she and Nancy O'Dell were guest hosts. Maria said the one thing you have to work on is the stare down, so they try it and both bust out in laughter.

Finally, the word is that it was a nice little feature and it probably showed more of his character than NXT has...

WWE NXT RECAP FOR TUESDAY APRIL 6, 2010.

Welcome to NXT for Tuesday April 6, 2010 on SyFy from Chicago, IL.

Matt Striker on ramp who then brings out each of the eight rookies one by one in order of the Pros poll rankings from worst to best. Daniel Bryan gets a huge ovation from the crowd. Last week we saw the rankings in the Pros Poll as he reminds us all that whoever wins gets a title shot opportunity on PPV against any champion they choose. Matt reminds us all that Darren Young is in last place and that Otunga was also not happy about being in fifth place. Striker admires that Otunga did something about it and won the battle royal to host Raw last night. Striker reminds him that he had a chance to win the Unified Tag Titles with Cena but he walked away. Striker then asks why, as Otunga says he was the host and he said he could do whatever he wanted. He could tagged in from Cena's whimpering hand and he could have celebrated together but nobody shares his spotlight. So he helped The Miz, who is a pro and could help him get his shot.

Bryan gets asked if he deserves to be in first place. Bryan says he is not really sure and asks if The Miz deserves to be a pro or if Otunga should host Raw or if Michael Cole deserves to take Jim Ross spot. Striker then says he should believe he is #1 since he was put there. We go then to Tarver who says Bryan doesn't deserve it and that he is a target. Tarver says he waited for an opportunity and now he is taking it as the most dangerous man in NXT. We are then reminded that last place in the next Pro's Poll will be eliminated, we will then have a mental and physical test with weekly challenges. Striker then shows us a keg filled with liquid and weighing over 160 pounds, this is how it works. Each rookie will have to carry the keg around the ring and whoever does it fastest will win (what a comic the WWE Creative is turning these Rookies into).

* We start with Daniel Bryan. Striker says Bryan has personality about time. If he drops the keg at any point he is disqualified. Bryan does a side step shuffling and gets it across in 24.9 seconds.

* We then go to Wade Barrett. He struggles to get it up and runs around the ring with a 14.7 second score.

* Next is Justin Gabriel who was a Rugby player in South Africa. He surprisingly did it in 13 seconds.

* Heath Slater is next as he also gets to run around the ring and finished in 12 seconds.

* Mr. A-List David Otunga is next. Otunga got alot of heat from the crowd. Nevertheless, Otunga took off his shades and finished in 14.1 seconds.

* Skip Sheffield who Cole called the favorite for his strength. Sheffield finishes in 12.4 seconds after taking 2 seconds to get off the line.

* Tarver is next and drops the keg at the first corner. A "You Suck" chants broke out from the crowd.

* Darren Young is last as he also dropped the keg early and still finishes at 13.6 seconds.

Heath Slater is the winner as he says that he going to blow our minds in NXT. Heath now has an opportunity to main event tonight against the BIG Red Machine Kane as we head to commercial break.

We are back from the break as we get highlights of Otunga hosting Raw last night and him backing out of his match teaming with Cena for the Unified Titles, and also with Batista making the rematch for Extreme Rules. Back to Matt Striker with Skip Sheffield who is ranked sixth. Sheffield then says that he should have won the keg carry and he calls it rigged. He is the biggest thing in NXT and the people aren't ready from him. He says nice guys finish last and he is done being a nice guy.

Daniel Bryan vs. Darren Young

We start with both rookies in the ring as Young gets a quick advantage with clubs to the back. Bryan sends Young to floor and hits a baseball slide., then goes to the apron and hits a running knee strike. Young rolled back into the ring as Bryan gets a two count. Bryan and Young exchange roll ups and near falls one after the other. Bryan knocks Young down to size as they again exchange roll ups but Young bridges over Bryan and gets the three count pinfall victory.

winner: Darren Young

Justin Gabriel vs. Michael Tarver

We get a pre-done interview with Tarver talking about the pit bull being unleashed etc. The bell rings as they both lockup and Tarver shoves off. They lock up again and he backs Gabriel into the corner and hits a couple knees to the gut. He then hits a hard whip on Gabriel and a bodyslam for a one count. Tarver locks in an abdominal stretch but Gabriel elbows out. Tarver now with a club to the back followed by a whip as Gabriel goes up and over before hitting a few kicks including a spin kick to the face. Gabriel hits a running spinning elbow to the corner and follows up with a springboard cross body. Gabriel then goes up top but Tarver knocks him down. Tarver now goes up top but Gabriel throws him off and snaps him on the top ropes. Gabriel then hits a kick to the head and goes back up top for his signature 450 splash which connects for the win.

winner: Justin Gabriel

David Otunga vs. Wade Barrett

Otunga said that he was disappointed in his ranking but he says his Pros are threatened by him, so they ranked him there and not #1. Wade's comments about being #2 saying it is not good enough for him. The bell rings as they both lock up as Otunga gets in a headlock but Barrett elbows out and whips Otunga to the corner. Barrett now with a forearm to the back of the head and traps Otunga in the ropes. Barrett hits more forearms as Otunga fires back with a right hand but Otunga gets decked and sent to the floor. Barrett follows and rams Otunga into the ring apron. Back in the ring now as Barrett drives the knee to the back for a submission hold, Otunga dropped as he gets up bit avoids a knee drop. Otunga fights back with right hands and hits an inverted atomic drop, then hits a shoulder block. Otunga now hits a body slam and follows with a neckbreaker for a two count. Otunga goes up top but Barrett picks the ankle and drives Otunga to the mat. Barrett then lifts up Otunga and hits the modified Fireman's Carry Slam for the three count.

winner: Wade Barrett

Backstage: Heath Slater is warming up for his match next.

Kane vs. Heath Slater

We get highlights of Kane facing all eight NXT rookies on Smackdown this past Friday Night. Heath Slater is not looking phased at all. Slater plays some run and duck moves, but he gets a boot up in the corner and hits a drop toe hold. Kane gets hit with a missile dropkick, but stays up. A cross body off the top rope gets a two count for Slater, but he runs off the ropes and gets drilled with a boot to the face. Kane dumps Slater to the floor and gets decked with uppercuts. Slater rolled back in and sent to the corner. Kane hits a few elbows and right hands. Kane goes to a chinlock and Slater fights to his feet to elbow out. Slater somehow gets Kane over for a sunset flip and gets a one count. Kane lifts up Slater and hits a huge side slam for a two count as Kane looks shocked. Slater gets choked on the ropes before Kane snapmares him and hits a low dropkick to the face for two. Slater fights back with right hands and comes off the ropes, but Kane almost takes him head off with a right hand. Kane goes up top and hits his trademark clothesline. Kane with another uppercut and a huge clothesline in the corner. He goes to do it again, but Slater gets the boot up. Slater charges but GOZZLE!! Slater goes up and comes down wit the chokeslam! Kane covers and gets the three count.

winner: Kane

WHAT HAPPENED WHEN RAW WENT OFF AIR?

After Raw went off the air, David Otunga came out and announced a title match between Cena and Batista to take place immediately. Bastista then went for a pin on the fallen Cena but he kicked out at the two count.

Cena then went on with the usual routine signature moves, a slam, Five Knuckle Shuffle, the Attitude Adjustment and finally the STF. Bastista eventually tapped out. Otunga came back to the ring and shoved Cena. Cena tripped Otunga and locked in the STF as Otunga tapped for about 15-20 seconds.
